

Autumn Equinox: A Time to Pause & Find Your Light.
Today is the Autumn Equinox, the first day of fall & in Alberta. Fall weather came with a thud a couple of weeks ago, temperature changed, it's cold, it getting darker day by day. On this day there is equal amount of light as darkness, a pause if you will, before there is more darkness than light. We get sad this time of year, as we know the warm days are waning & soon we will be bundling up again against the cold. But can you see it differently? I always think of this


How to Respond to This Moment
It's a busy world, & we tend to react to all that goes on around us. Can we instead learn to respond in a way that is more present? To be more present in the moment so we can respond in a way that works for us instead of against us? Last week I sent a blog on This Moment Matters, to show what the focus of my classes will be this fall. The idea is present moment awareness. To learn to be more present to being instead of doing.

This Moment Matters
I am back from holidays, 2 1/2 weeks at the lake in Saskatchewan with my family. Lots of sun, swimming, chilling & moving. After this R&R I am glad to be teaching again. No matter how lovely it is to have a break from my “work”, I so enjoy coming back to it. My teaching is a process of my own practice & what each students teaches me. I so enjoy sharing my own perspectives on yoga & life as we work together to find present moment awareness. Soon I will be back to teaching
