Cultivating Loving Kindness
I am training for my Level I Conscious Breathwork facilitator with Trevor Yelnich this week, so thought I’d make this weeks blog short & sweet.
Here is a simple meditation to help to cultivate compassions & kindness in your life.
Metta Meditation (Loving Kindness)
May I be happy, May I be healthy, May I be safe, May I be free.
See the attachment for another version of Metta Meditation, & you can send this version out to these same people as it does.
I like to finish Metta Mediations by coming back home to myself & saying I am happy, I am healthy, I am safe, I am free. As this is a statement of truth in our own True Nature.
Metta Meditation
Come into your comfortable meditation posture (sitting or lying). Bring awareness to the breath.
Relax the body, calm the mind. Repeat the following phrases to yourself and take a moment or
two between each phrase to reflect and sit quietly with the thought.
May I be still – then see yourself still
May I notice the life around me
May I live with ease and purpose
May I my spirit be renewed
Think of a someone you love and respect
May he/she be still – then see that person still
May he/ she notice the world around them
May he/she live with ease and purpose
May his/her spirit be renewed
Think of someone neutral
May he/she be still – then see that person still
May he/ she notice the world around them
May he/she live with ease and purpose
May his/her spirit be renewed
Think of someone you are in conflict with or do not like
May he/she be still – then see that person still
May he/ she notice the world around them
May he/she live with ease and purpose
May his/her spirit be renewed
